Notice to Highway 12 Commuters
Highway 12 commuters will need an alternate route into Sacramento and San Joaquin Counties over the next two days. Cal Trans has closed Highway 12 between Interstate 5 and Highway 160 through this Thursday for maintenance and pavement repair. The closure takes place between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm. For more information, visit the California Department of Transportation’s website at dot.ca.gov.

The Amador Express "X" bus connects you to transit going directly to the Sacramento Airport!

The Sacramento Express ARTS bus from Amador County to downtown Sacramento connects with the Yolo Bus 42B for a 15 minute ride to the Sacramento Airport. The Yolo Bus 42A for a 15 minute ride to downtown Sacramento where you can catch the ARTS Sacramento Express back home! Leave your car at home the next time you take a trip!

Park-and-Ride Locations in the Foothill Rideshare Area
Park-and-Rides provide parking spaces for your car while you carpool or vanpool with others.
Look for signage and green striping or dots that designate the Park-and-Ride spaces at these locations:
Amador County:
  • Sutter Hill Transit Center, near the Pine Wood Apartments
  • Busi Parking Lot in the City of Jackson (behind Mels Diner on Hwy. 49/88)
  • City of Sutter Creek (North end of town)
  • Pokerville Market in the City of Plymouth
Calaveras County: Black Bart Playhouse in Murphys
Tuolumne County: Groveland Park
